Appliance FAQ’s
Why is my Frigidaire washer shaking?
If the washer is level, than this problem may be coming from a loading or sorting matter. If you sort your clothes by wet wight, it could be that your floor may be weak.
How do I get rid of the moldy smell from my GE washer?
If you have a front load washer, there are additives you can buy from you local appliance shop that work great.
Why has my LG dryer stopped heating?
Check the circuit breaker to make sure you have the correct power to the dryer. Sometime the dryer will run, but not heat. The circuit breaker for the dryer is 240 volts and the motor requires 120 volts to operate. The remaining 120 volts is required to power up the element on an electric dryer. The problem may also be coming from lint build up, make sure to check that out, and remove lint build up if needed.
Why is my Bosch dishwasher leaving spots on my dishes?
Most dishwasher brands have a wetting agent dispenser that must be filled periodically, the wetting agent prevents spotting on dishes. Another tip is that if you have hard water, you might try changing detergents with anti- spotting additives.
Why is my Amana refrigerator’s temperature warming up?
The condenser coils from the refrigerator must be cleaned every 6 month or when needed. If they are not cleaned, not only will the temperatures start warming up, the life of the compressor will be reduces causing an expensive repair.
Why are the sides of my refrigerator / freezer hot to touch?
Some refrigerator models have part of the condenser coils foamed into the walls of the cabinet. IF the fridge or freezer has a formed air condenser in the the unit and the coils are not cleaned, the sides of your unit will be warm. Also, if the ambient temperature of the refrigerator is warmer than normal this could also cause the side walls of the unit to be warmer than normal.
What should I do? The temperature in my Electrolux oven temp is off.
You should calibrate the temperature. Some oven brands have instructions on how to calibrate the temperature, refer to the manual that came with your unit.
